A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the same domain name. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. Thus, you can receive messages from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Web Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without difficulty in case you have a shared web hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is feature-laden, yet unbelievably simple to work with, and it will enable you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have a different mailbox with this option enabled or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all feature can be activated with ease in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domains hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you’ll notice a tiny logo conveniently located directly next to each of them. With just one single click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable this option through the context menu that will come into view. If any of the preconditions for creating a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
